Digital Marketing Specialist – SEO and SEM

Bedford, MA

The digital marketing specialist is responsible for driving the both organic search/SEO campaigns, as well as managing and executing paid search/CPC efforts across Google and other platforms for a rapidly growing home goods ecommerce brand. The digital marketing specialist will play a key role in Riverbend Home’s integrated digital marketing plan, ensuring that SEO and paid digital efforts achieve ROI objectives as well as complement other marketing efforts such as social media and content marketing. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with mid-level experience and a “startup” mindset to impact our rapidly growing business and team. This is a fully on-site position located in our Bedford, MA office.


Organic Search/SEO

  • Identify opportunities for traffic growth across core areas of the business: technical SEO, on-site SEO, keyword selection, scalable content.
  • Build and prioritize SEO roadmap based on estimated impact, level of effort. Partner closely with and assist in managing external SEO agency.
  • Work alongside Dev team and external agency to ensure technical SEO best practices.
  • Perform competitor analysis, site audits, content strategy.
  • Confirm, diagnose and resolve technical issues with the Google, Tech team.
  • Perform Keyword research – monitor and find important keywords for content production, search campaigns, partner with copy-writer in creating keyword briefs for core categories, seasonal pages, and new brands. Includes meta description and content coordination.
  • Develop and implement link building strategy.
  • Troubleshoot feed, audiences or pixel issues and errors in accounts.
  • Prepare and distribute performance reports as needed.
  • Work on special projects as needed.

Bedford, MA

Paid Media including Search, PLA, Smart Shopping

  • Take direction and execute pay per click campaign strategies, including but not limited to account setup, organization and optimization across both Google AdWords campaigns and Bing. Includes both “always on” and seasonal/experimental campaign planning, traffic generation and retargeting, audience building.
  • Coordinate asset development and execution including basic copy, coordinating with creative team on development of banners, video, and other ad units.
  • Manage campaigns to sales, ROAS, and cost per acquisition objectives. Includes daily monitoring and reporting of trend data vs. goal, flagging when campaigns are either not meeting or are exceeding objectives, and providing recommendations for optimization. Regular team updates of in channel moves. Dashboard owner.
  • Monitor PPC trends, competitors, best practices and techniques, bring to the table at team meetings.
  • Proactively research accounts and provide ongoing opportunities that align with business goals.
  • Collaborate with Email, Social channel leads and Design Team to ensure brand asset and campaign cohesiveness in channel.
  • Analyze revenue, campaign performance, click and conversion rates, ROI, daily ad spend. Oversee third party search specialist for daily monitoring and analysis of advertising campaigns.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years hands on experience in managing both organic search and paid search campaigns including:
    • SEO optimization and technical SEO
    • Google Shopping ads/AdWords campaign set up and management
    • Data feed management
  • Must have previously demonstrated success delivering Google Shopping Ad Strategies & SEO wins.
  • Thorough knowledge of search engine ranking factors and current SEO best practices.
  • Experience working with, setting up, and analyzing data from Google Analytics.
  • Demonstrated xperience with SEO tools like Google Search Console, Moz, Ahrefs, SEMRush, etc.
  • Ability to write SEO content and copy.
  • Ability to work with/manage external agency resources.
  • Proactive and highly detail-oriented, with a knack for problem solving.
  • Fast learner – able to learn new programs and skills quickly.
  • Comfort with making informed decisions with imperfect information.

  • Previous B2C ecommerce experience a plus; including Shopify.

Digital Designer

Bedford, MA

The Digital Designer will be responsible for designing and coding digital marketing assets comprised of emails, site promotions, social media posts, digital ads, and site content for a rapidly growing home goods brand. While this is mainly an online designer, designing for print is a plus. This is a fully on-site position located in our Bedford, MA office.

  • Design (or adapt existing design), build and test both recurring and one-off email communications, including the use of existing templates and the design of new templates in accordance with mobile-responsive design, email best practices and brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with others in marketing and merchandising to design, build, and test on-site promotions, including all necessary banners, navigation elements, content pages, and landing pages.
  • Leverage UX and design knowledge to ensure that all communications maximize effectiveness to deliver conversions.
  • 3-5 years relevant digital design and development experience, preferably in B2C e-commerce.
  • Must have examples of professional, corporate digital design work
  • Knowledge of email design & build best practices, including deliverability, mobile responsiveness, as well as, techniques for maximizing open, click and conversion in retail e-commerce communications.
  • Knowledge of social media design & build best practices, with focus on Pinterest, Facebook/Instagram. Experience in interactive media/video for social a plus.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite: Focus on Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, and InDesign, Animate a plus.
  • Programming skills: HTML5, CSS3, Mobile, specifically for email development and web prototyping. Jquery and JavaScript are a plus.
  • Designing for print also a plus.
  • Shopify and Klaviyo experience a plus but not required.
