Outdoor Oven Recipe: Steak & Roasted Vegetables
Outdoor Oven Recipe (cooking times based on the Ooni 3 Outdoor Oven)
Prep Time: 10 minutes Total Time: 20 - 25 minutes

Prepared in an Ooni 3 Outdoor Oven.
Ingredients
- Ribeye or your favorite cut of steak
- Unsalted butter
- Olive oil
- Salt, pepper or favorite meat seasoning
- Asparagus
- Sliced red pepper (or favorite veggies)
- Garlic cloves to taste
Steps
- Place a 10-inch cast iron skillet in your outdoor oven and fire it up for 7-10 minutes to bring both to temperature
- While they are warming up, massage a small amount of olive oil onto the the steak and season each side to taste with salt, pepper, or meat seasoning
- Place on foil or parchment paper
- Place asparagus, sliced peppers, and garlic on aluminum foil or in a shallow aluminum pan and brush lightly with olive oil, and season to taste
- Carefully pull out your skillet (tip: using metal tongs with a wooden plank or cutting board work well for safe handling)
- Place your steak on the skillet and put into the oven for 2 minutes
- Flip the steak and add a tablespoon of butter on top before putting back into the oven (for rare steak cook for 2 minutes, for medium steak cook for 4 minutes)
- Remove steak from skillet and let rest
- Carefully place your veggies into the oven, ensuring oil/juices will not spill out of foil or pan. Turn every 60 seconds until roasted/charred to your liking
