Types of Vanity Light FixturesExplore our collection of horizontal vanity lights, vanity light bars, and bathroom wall sconces to find the best fixtures for your bathroom lighting needs.
Horizontal Vanity Lights
Perhaps the most popular style of vanity lighting, horizontal lights install directly above the mirror. If you’re thinking about choosing horizontal lighting, consider the orientation of the bulbs; upward-facing bulbs are an excellent option for illuminating a powder room, half bath, or small bathroom. Downward-facing bulbs focus light on the mirror and bathroom vanity for enhanced utility. Our selection of horizontal vanity lights includes a variety of styles and finishes, in options with two to seven bulbs.
Vanity Light Bars
Typically more modern in style, a vanity light bar installs horizontally above the mirror or vertically on either side of or between mirrors. These fixtures evenly diffuse the light, providing excellent illumination with minimal shadows and making them an ideal option for applying makeup. Our collection of vanity light bars features fixtures with as few as one or two long bulbs, or as many as eight individual bulbs.
In contrast to horizontal lights and light bars, a bathroom sconce typically features a single bulb and is installed a few inches from the sides of the mirror, rather than above it. For the best balance and light distribution, sconces should be mounted at least 60” from the floor, or near eye level. From traditional shaded styles to rustic wooden designs to sleek modern lights, we offer a wide selection of sconces to suit your bathroom’s décor.
To simplify your search, filter results by price, type, style, color, finish, number of bulbs, and other variables. Whichever vanity light fixture you choose, be sure to select the size and placement appropriate for your space. Learn more about how to choose the right bathroom vanity lighting for your home.
