Inspired by his mother’s story, Bob Dalton was inspired to help the homeless community. Discovering their need for blankets, he founded Sackcloth & Ashes, a mission-driven company that donates a blanket to a homeless shelter for each one purchased. Beautiful as well as functional, each of the company’s blankets are made from recycled materials and produced using a water-free, dye-free, and chemical-free process to create a product with comfort and durability in mind. The fabric used in each blanket comes from donated clothing and factory scraps that are shredded and the fibers spun into yarns of different colors, then woven into Sackcloth & Ashes many unique designs. Every blanket in Sackcloth & Ashes’ range are intentionally crafted, responsibly made blankets, perfect for your home or travels. Made in Italy and finished in the USA.
The company also gives back in other ways. Their wholesale program, SHOPS, also supports local businesses by showcasing their unique stories and helping to enhance their presence within the community. Their mission of their nonprofit, Love Your City, is to connect people to meaningful work and give them the opportunity to contribute to their communities.
